Our commitment

LaunchPad Manufacturing values the different backgrounds and experience of the people who work with us. Everyone is treated fairly and with dignity, and decisions about people are based only on their ability to do the job.

Protected characteristics

We do not discriminate on the grounds of any characteristic protected by the Equality Act 2010: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

This applies to recruitment, pay and benefits, training, promotion, working conditions, discipline and leaving.

What is not acceptable

  • Direct or indirect discrimination, including rules or practices that put a group at an unfair disadvantage.
  • Harassment: unwanted conduct that violates someone’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment, including sexual harassment.
  • Bullying: offensive, intimidating or insulting behaviour, or misuse of power, that undermines or humiliates someone.
  • Victimisation of anyone who complains or supports a complaint.

We take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, including by third parties, as the law requires.

Support and adjustments

We make reasonable adjustments for disabled workers and applicants, and support people through pregnancy, maternity and other life events. Men and women are paid equally for equal work.

Raising a complaint

If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment or bullying, report it through our confidential reporting system, raise it with your manager or [name, role], or follow our Whistleblowing & Grievance Policy. Complaints are dealt with promptly and in confidence. Breaches of this policy are a disciplinary matter.

Responsibility and review

This policy applies to everyone who works for or on behalf of LaunchPad Manufacturing: employees, agency and temporary workers, contractors and visitors. It is owned by [name, role] and has the full support of the directors.

We review it at least once a year, and sooner if the law or the way we work changes. Everyone it applies to is told about it at induction and when it changes.

Signed: [name], [director], LaunchPad Manufacturing. Date: [date].
