Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy
Zero tolerance of bribery and corruption, in line with the Bribery Act 2010.
Draft for review. Items in [square brackets] need confirming before this policy is signed off.
Our commitment
LaunchPad Manufacturing does business honestly. We have zero tolerance of bribery and corruption and comply with the Bribery Act 2010, under which offering, paying, requesting or accepting a bribe is a criminal offence, and a business can be liable if it fails to prevent bribery.
What is not allowed
- Offering, promising or giving anything of value to win or keep business, or to get an improper advantage.
- Requesting or accepting anything of value in return for favourable treatment, such as choosing a supplier.
- Facilitation payments: small unofficial payments to speed up routine actions.
- Any payment or gift to a public official to influence them.
Gifts and hospitality
Modest gifts and hospitality are part of normal business, provided they are reasonable, proportionate and given openly. Anything worth more than £[50] is recorded in our gifts and hospitality register and approved by [role]. Cash or cash equivalents are never given or accepted, and nothing is given or accepted while we are quoting, tendering or negotiating with that party.
Conflicts of interest
Anyone with a personal interest that could affect a business decision, such as a family link to a supplier, must declare it to [role] so it can be managed.
Donations
We do not make political donations. Charitable donations are approved by a director, made openly and recorded.
Third parties and records
We expect suppliers, labour providers and anyone acting for us to follow the same standards. All payments are properly authorised and accurately recorded.
Reporting and consequences
If you are offered a bribe, or suspect bribery, report it through our confidential reporting system or tell [name, role]. See our Whistleblowing & Grievance Policy. Anyone who breaches this policy faces disciplinary action, which may include dismissal, and we may end relationships with third parties who breach it.
Responsibility and review
This policy applies to everyone who works for or on behalf of LaunchPad Manufacturing, including agents, suppliers and labour providers. It is owned by [name, role] and has the full support of the directors.
We review it at least once a year, and sooner if the law or the way we work changes. Everyone it applies to is told about it at induction and when it changes.
Signed: [name], [director], LaunchPad Manufacturing. Date: [date].
